Nelson Co's Roby hurls perfect game

Nelson County sophomore Morgan Roby tossed a 7-inning perfect game Wednesday in an 8-0 win over Bullitt Central.

Roby struck out 11 (3 looking), and didn't allow a ball out of the infield. In addition, she helped her own cause with a single, stolen base and two runs scored.

It is Roby's first career no-hitter at any level, and it is believed to be the first perfect game in NCHS history. Congratulations on a very special and rare achievement, Morgan. :thumb:

Interestingly enough, in her first start following the gem, Roby threw four perfect innings against Bullitt East before a runner got on by way of an error. She finished out the no-hitter, hitting a batter for the only other baserunner.

Great achievement, and being only a Soph. makes it even more special.
