Wow, this score shocks me. The Cardinals will probably come back and win, but it's nice to see the Colonels hanging in there - even though I'm not too fond of Coach Baker.

South 39, Whitley 36

It doesn't shock me. Whitley has played South tough the entire season and this is the fourth meeting between the two schools and it's at Whitley.

South stretching it out...43-36 with about 4:40 in the 3rd.

The Cardinals seem to play better in the second half ... BUT I believe Coach Bker has done a great job with his team this year.

But we're not the same people, Les. It shocks me. I mean, I could bring one of your quotes back - "Guess Whitley County and South Laurel are closer in talent than many thought." I mean, shouldn't South be beating them fairly easily?

Not if you look at the past three scores ... I think South handled them by 20-plus in one time, but all three games have been close.

I guess I'm a genius. Thanks dude.

Nailbiter at the end of three: South 47, Whitley 46. Whitley ball to start the 4th.

I will be amazed if Whitley wins this game. If they do, they'll certainly deserve it by the looks of things. Now, I don't know what is going on at the game (reffing, etc) but good luck to both teams.

Upset could be brewing ...

Woo it would be a shocker to me if South did not make it to the Region, but I would say they pull it out.

How is Watkins doing for South? He seems to be playing really well latley, hes a Clay Co born kid who lived in Clay till a couple years ago..It would have been nice if the Tigers still had him.

Man, Clay is already solid canning the 3s. If he was there Clay might be called the Spurlock bombinos!
