3 Point Play Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Can Buckhorn pull it together after the tough schedule has resulted in several losses? They have some talent and a good young coach, but they need some wins.
Master of the Hardwood Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 They have played some good competition and it will pay off for them. They have played a couple of good games in a row but came out on the losing end to Cordia and PCC, but they played a good game and led both of those for most of the game. They just need to put it all together to make a good run in the district, hopefully they will draw Leslie and be able to get into the region to make some noise. I don't see them beating Perry or Hazard in the district so they need to hope for a good draw.
bball king Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 They really miss The Rice kid he was the energizer bunny on that team. It seems that everyone fed of his hustle.
Lightning Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 They really miss The Rice kid he was the energizer bunny on that team. It seems that everyone fed of his hustle. Exactly. Rice was the leader on the team last season and someone needs to step up and take charge. That is the only thing this team lacks. They need someone to become the leader on the floor. Buckhorn has as good a team as anyone in the region they just haven't put it together yet. They have probably played one of the toughest schedule around. John Noble is an excellent coach and I think he will get them turned around. If it takes until tournament time then that is fine. That is when it counts anyway. I disagree with the earlier post that they must draw Leslie to have a chance. They led PCC almost all night, but good shooting for PCC beat Buckhorn. As for Hazard, I am not sure anyone in the 54th can beat them right now at this time. They are a complete team. Seems Buckhorn, PCC, and Leslie will want to draw each other and stay away from Hazard. BUt that is why they play the game.
CoachCsU Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Buckhorn has some solid components... Who is looking at Zach Gay? He is one of my favorite players to watch this year.
