SV was down 17 after 3 quarters & came back to win, I think it went into OT

Wow, Miami Sr is just about always a power in the Florida state basketball tournament. I believe they have 4 or 5 state titles. What a great, great win for Shelby Valley!!

Outstanding win by Shelby Valley. Is this the same school, that former UK players Allen Edwards and Jamael Martinez is from, plus isn't Udonis Haslem also from this school?

Looking it up really quick, I noticed that Edwards and Haslem went to school there.

They were the thorn in the side of my high school when I was living in Florida. I went to Fletcher High School and my senior year, the basketball team had two division 1 signess. We rolled through our schedule, go to the state finals and lost to Miami Sr. After losing to Miami Sr in the state semi-finals the year before.

It goes without saying, I'm VERY happy whenever they lose.

THEN a couple years after that, my high school at Fletcher has a couple more great teams and those teams lose in 3 consecutive years to Daytona Beach Mainland, with some guy named Vince Carter on their team. Darnit to heck. lol

I believe this is South Miami Senior and not Miami Senior, in looking at the Tournament brackets. Nonetheless, this is an outstanding win for a SV in New York.

Miami Sr. is in a Las Vegas Tournament.

Oh well darn, I know there are bunches of schools down there.

Still a great win for Kentucky and the 15th region. :thumb:

Valley continues to roll :thumb:

Oh well... my link didn't work...
