GRANT COUNTY 49, TRIMBLE COUNTY 37 - Grant County junior point guard Candace Gorby scored a game-high 14 points and dished out a pair of assists to lead the Braves to their second straight victory to begin the season.

Gorby was instrumental during the second quarter when she and freshman Tyanna Workman scored 12 of 18 Grant County points, while helping to implement a full-court pressure defense that limited Trimble County to four points.

Workman finished the night with 12 points, which gives her two consecutive double-digit scoring games to begin her high-school career.

Good to hear the Braves are doing good. Looks like if they keep playing like this, districts for WV, W-Town, and Simon will be very interesting this year! Congrats.
