South Laurel 86, Garrard County 52

Featured Replies

Cards only led 48-36 going into 4th quarter, but outscored Lions 38-16 in the game's final eight minutes.

Billy Jones scored 14 of his game-high 24 points in the quarter.

He had 24 points, seven boards, while St. John had 16 points six boards.

Garrard plays a deliberate style of offense and was a good test for South.

Coach Wright now has 498 wins.

Coach Wright will go for win 500 vs Whitley Co. then I guess? Congrats to him and his staff, Jones may be the player that makes this team really good before all is said and done.

Tommorrow's game against Harlan could be a tough one IMO.

South has been comfortable at home for two games, now it's time to take a road trip.

And yes, I believe Jones can have an outstanding year. He is a dolid player.

Why do you think Harlan will be tough,(IMO only because it is a long rough road trip,) what is Harlan holding, they were all John Smith the last couple of years and he is gone.

Jus the fact that it's a road game and South is still young in a lot of areas.

The Cards are going to have some slip ups here and there, but will be a good team in the end.

If the bus turns left instead of right and goes to Cumberland the Cardinals may be in for a rough game but IMO not at Harlan.
