Who wins? It should be a good game but I'd say WC will win by a hair based on the rankings.

This early in the season I don't put alot of faith in rankings, Corbin has a nice group of players led by Rogers and Baylor. Even with the home court advantage which is huge at Corbin, I think Whitley's depth will be the difference in the game. I think it will be a back and forth white knuckler, with the Lady Colonels coming out on top.

Whitley should win . They are bigger, more skilled and deeper. Corbin will really miss Jackson in these early games. She did a lot of things and will be irreplacable. Coach Parsons is a great coach but I don't think she has the horses in this game especially early in the season.

Whitley is the heavy favorite no doubt. If the Lady Hounds can do something with Brimm they will have a shot. I look for the Hounds to mix things up more this season on the defensive side of the ball. Coach Parsons is a super coach and will match wits with one of the Wiley old Vets in Coach Larry Anderson. Interesting sidenote is former Lady Hound assistant Rhonda Sizemore is now on the lady Colonel bench. Coach Parsons has added Ray Martin former Coach at Berea and WBurg to her staff. Coach Martin is a great basketball mind and will be a big asset to the program as the season progresses. With all that said, I look for the Lady Colonels to come out on top....53- 43.

WC will have the better team on the floor on Friday Night, but Corbin will have the best player on the floor in Mikkah Rogers. Mikkah has been leading this team for 3 years now. IMO she is the best overall player in the region. If Mikkah can take this game over I look for Corbin to be in it until the end.

I agree wtih all accolades mentioned about Corbin-Rogers is very good player (not best in region, but definitely up with the best), Parsons excellent coach, Martin great addition, but...Whtiley County has so many good players I think they win even AT Corbin, where we all know the cookin is good.

Only player that could compare to Rogers is Wombles from SL. The reason I give the nod to Mikkah is because of her Defense. Mikkah is the better overall player.

Whitley Co. 60-51.

The ref's overlooked or chose not to see many dirty punches and kicks executed from 2 of Corbin's players (Baylor and Waldon). Very "unsportsman-like" conduct from the Lady Redhounds--DISAPPOINTING!!!!! If WC taped the game hopefully they will send it to KHSAA officials.
