What has happened to Trigg County

Featured Replies

Trigg County started out on fire and what has happened to them since? Do they have some players hurt or something? Just wondering.

Obviously it doesn't appear to just be one thing or else it would have been fixed by now. When teams stack eight in the box to stop the run, they don't have an answer for it. My limited knowledge tells me that when teams stack the box, you beat it by throwing the screen. Trigg used to throw multiple screens a game but no longer do, even though they have a running back that could break a long one or two. They also don't have a receiver with breakaway speed. On defense, I really don't know. They don't seem to be grasping the read and react defense. They read it, but they aren't reacting until the running back is in the secondary. I'm not going to get into comparing the new coach and the old coach because of the injury situation this year and the tougher schedule. But it seems like Trigg has been slow to adjust in-game to what the opponent is doing. Or maybe they are adjusting and the players aren't grasping it. I do know there are many people in Cadiz questioning what is wrong with the team and very, very few people with an answer on how to fix it.
