Jim Schue
Tyler Centers threw for two TDs and Joe Joe Simms ran for one and caught another in the Commanders' win. Bethlehem fell behind 14-0 and 21-7 but still had a chance late in the fourth quarter after cutting it to 21-14, forcing Washington Co. to punt from its own 27 with about three minutes and change left. The punter bobbled the snap, and Bethlehem came after him with a jailbreak, roughing the punter after he somehow managed to get the punt off. The penalty gave WashCo a fresh set of downs, and they were able to pick up another first down and run out the clock.
Hearsay
I know Coach T is frustrated by a close loss like this, but Bethlehem is playing hard and battling. I think the future is pretty bright. They still have a shot at a district title.
