JL Cannady threw for 228 yards and 4 TD.

Meade County built a 21-0 lead after the first quarter.

I was very impressed with Canady. He's quite good at ball concealment, which has to be a quite appealing trait when college scouts look at him.

Nothing went right for NC in this one. Meade jumped all over NC right out of the gate and fired on all pistons. Meade scored touchdowns on all five of its first-half drives (I don't really count Canady downing it to kill the clock just before halftime as a "drive") and built up a 35-0 lead — even a bad snap on an XP attempt ended up with the kicker running it in for a 2-pt conversion. That's what kind of night it was.

NC didn't get its initial first down until late in the second quarter and ended up with only eight first downs for the game. Meade, on the other hand, never punted. The Cardinals got a pair of late TDs after Meade had already built a 45-7 lead.
