Whitley County 14 Newport 13

Featured Replies

13 Turnovers in 3 games!!! That is hard to overcome, but if the Wildcats hold on to that ball and play good defense like they did against Bellevue and Whitley Co, they will string together some wins!!!

Is this considered an upset?

I think you could consider it an upset....

Newport was 8-4 and lost in the second round of the playoffs, while Whitley was 2-8 and did not make the playoffs and was struggling.

Regardless of class, Whitley should have been an underdog, so I would say you could call it an upset.

Apex, you are a true Colonel fan. You always speak so positively about the players and remain supportive of the team through thick and thin. Schools need more people like you. I salute you. Good luck this week.

Thank you for the kind words.

The kids have earned my respect with hard work and a great work ethic taught to them by the parents and coaches both past and present.

I try to stay positive, otherwise I get depressed. LOL
