found this score on KHSAA website but wondered if anyone had any stats or details of this game. McLean is 2-0 now, impressive.

McLean scored first in the second quarter on a seventy yard fumble recovery to take the lead 6-0. Later in the second quarter, McLean drove the ball done and scored from 5 yards out to make the score 12-0. Murray scored their first points late in the second quarter on a five yard run by King to make the score at half 12-7 McLean. McLean got some big plays in the third quarter that put them close to the goal where they ran it in from the three. Score in the third quarter was McLean 19, Murray 7. Murray's King would score in the fourth quarter from ten yards out to make the score 19-13 McLean. Murray would threaten late but costly penalties and some good stops by McLean's defense would get the ball back to McLean. McLean would run out the last 3+ minutes of the game and end the game on the Murray two yard line where they kneed out the game. Murray had big yards in between the twenties, but the McLean defense and Murray miscues stopped Murray drives. McLean found their stride late in the fourth quarter as they put together a long drive late.

Murray has lots of speed and ability. If they reduce the amount of errors and penalties they will give their opponents this year fits. Very tough squad.

Thanks for the info.!

McLean is a much improved team these last couple of years..I don't see them being able to handle OCath, Ft Campbell or Trigg Co, but, they're probably next in line behind those 3 in 2a, region 1...

McLean County is 3A and should fit in right behind Tilghma in District One.

Oops, sorry...thought they were in 2a...So you feel they're better than Russellville..

No. Russellville is better than McLean, but McLean should finish ahead of Webster and Muhleberg South in that district.

Looks like Murray shot themselves in the foot with four turnovers, one fumble was returned for a touchdown for McLean County, and seven penalties cost the Tigers 53 yards.

it was a very even matchup.. i think murray is a better team but with some coaching errors and stupid mistakes McLean countered on them and played a great game. Murray is now 0-2 heading into a tough next couple of district games. If Murray gets the small things undercontrol i think they will be a great team and deffinatly a sleeper in the district
