Warren Central/Ft. Campbell Scrimmage

Neither team looked like world beaters. Each team ran two 10 play series to start. Warren Central had a lot of trouble moving the ball in those sets as the line consistently broke down. In fact, they gained no yardage on their first 10 play set. Fort Campbell scored in their second series, but that was after two turnovers on the series. After that they moved to down and distance and both teams tacked on two scores apiece, with at least one apiece in first team competition.

Both teams looked pretty rough. Fort Campbell turned it over at least 5 times on the night, but did get the ball moving pretty well, especially by utilizing slant passes. Only had a couple of good runs as they were bottled up for the most part. Central's line was the source of much of their problem. It's tough really to tell how well the new QB would do as he rarely had any time whatsoever to make a pass. Tevon Boards was held in check as he consistently got hit in the backfield and had no run longer than 7-8 yards. Eventually Central began to get a few yards here and there allowing them to score, but they need a lot of work on that line. If they can't shore it up, they're going to get drilled.
