Does your little league team wear heart guards?

Featured Replies

Was just wondering if a majority of little league kids or even middle schoolers wear one of the various heart guards that you can buy at Dick's or other sporting goods stores? Are they uncomfortable? Do they really help if they have to come into use? Thanks for any comments.

Any protective device, would certainly help. I personally, would like to see acrylic or cage face mask, mandatory for live pitch leagues and All-Stars.

I've seen a tremendous amount of youth games and more often, a wild pitch to the helmet, arm or back of the body will occur.

This isn't going to happen unless you see Major league and college kids wear these protective devices. Granted, these devices serve the body well, but could they not hinder performance?
