thanks Hoops.

Hammonds is the real deal, Sure he'll be playing at a highly touted NCAA-DII program but should have been playing DI somewhere. Alot of people thought he was the top player on SL's team last season ahead of Proffitt who'll be headed out to the big east next season as part of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball team.

Justin Hicks (Hazard) was the MVP of the first game held Friday night in Logan, which WV won by about 5 pts. Hicks had 29 pts Friday and 21 pts. Saturday.

Pendleton County's former point guard, Tyler Mains, also plays there.

Any boxscores???

Here's another article that includes the boxscores for both games.

I agree, he is a big strong kid that can handle the ball and shoot well. He may not have excptional quickness but utilizing his big strong body is what he does well and he can fill it up. I think Proffit will struggle in D1 against athletic defensive guards. He is a great high school player but D-1 is another world.
