Greenup Co.'s standout pitcher Tyler Hieneman is playing this season and tonight in the State Tournament with some "special inspiration" from above. There is a very good and touching article in today's Daily Independent on Tyler and how and really all the GCHS baseball team is playing for "Paps", Paps is Tylers grandfather that passed this past October. The man was a great inspiration to Tyler and others as well as GCHS Coach Logan. The story is a very good read. You can find it at http://www.dailyindependent.com , then click on "local sports" - then click on the "Inspiration from Above" story.

I know and have known a lot of the members of the Hieneman family as well as his grandfather, he was a very good man that everyone loved and respected.

I sincerely hope that the family doesn't mind me posting this. I am just a outsider "Raceland" fan that was touched by this story.

^ Thanks, I know a lot of members of the Hieneman family and they are top notch people.

What an inspiring story. Although I don't see them often because of the distance between us, the Heineman's have always been close family friends. While I may be a little biased, Tyler and his family are class acts.
