Nice. Good job Will.

In the first game, Sr. Kyle Marinaro had a 1-hitter heading into the top of the 7th inning and was taken out of the game becasue he was behind the dish in the night cap.

marinaro did a great job in the first game for the royals pitching and keeping the hitters from villa off stride.

A two-strike, two-out grand slam home run by Will Ries capped a six-run top of the seventh inning to lead St. Patrick graduate Noah Welte and the Villa Madonna Blue Lightning to a 14-13, come-from-behind win over Mason County in the second game of a twi-night doubleheader Wednesday.

The win earned a split of the doubleheader for Welte, in his first season as the sole head coach of VMA. The Royals, behind six shutout innings from Kyle Marinaro, won the first game by a 4-2 margin.
