Congrats to the Lady Rams as they win the All "A" Classic Regional and advance to Sectional play where they will face Hazard the 14th Region Champs.

The Rams sent 12 hitters to the plate in the 5th scoring 7 runs on three successful suicide squeeze plays and a 2 run single by Jessie Clark. Katelynd Porter, Kala Blevins, and Chelsea Loperfido all had a successful suicide squeeze bunt and seven of the Rams first eight hitters reached base.

Paige Vanhoose had 12 K's in the win as the Rams improve their record to 8-6.

Sectionals will be played at Raceland on Monday. Two games to be played that day. I'll post the time when I know for certain, but most weekday games start at 5 or 5:30.

 

Injuries caused the Lady Rams to start the season slowly, but they are healing and picking up quickly.

Also, I had the pleasure of visiting with Hannah Daniel and her family after the game. Hannah is well on her way to becoming the pitcher her sister is. Katie, btw, is pitching at a jr. college in IN and hit her first collegiate home run last Monday night. Another Daniel sister, Abby, is playing second base for the Eagles. Great kids,,,Great family!
