Who are the best? I think Holy Cross and Lloyd are looking like great teams. Dayton is surprising me and Bellevue has the coaching to do well in the tourney.

You cannot leave out Scott and Campbell County, or even Newport. Scott has the most starters back from last season, and Campbell has great talent and depth at all positions. I would agree that CC, Scott, HC, and Lloyd are the big four right now. All four have beaten one another. Scott beat Lloyd 9-6 and Lloyd beat Scott 18-3. Lloyd beat HC 9-8 smf HC beat Lloyd 6-2. Campbell has beaten Scott and HC, but not Lloyd, and I believe Scott has beaten them all at least once.

Not to get off subject but I was wondering how do these schools have enough girls to field a slow pitch team and a fast pitch team. Do some girls play both?

HC and Lloyd girls play both. Scott and CC are big enough schools to have two separate teams. HC plays their 10 required fast pitch games, then dedicates the rest of their season to slow pitch. Then they finish it off by participating in the fast pitch district tournament.

According to who? Holy Cross, a predominant slow pitch team, has taken down some solely fast pitch teams this season. This shows us something...don't knock teams because they enjoy competing in something that you object to...
