The Raiders keep rolling along.

So far, so good. Mace actually pitched the first 4 innings setting them down in order the first 3 innings then giving up 2 runs on 3 hits with no walks and

6 K's to the fifeteen batters he faced. Reider faced 13 batters, giving up 2 runs on 1 hit, striking out 1 but giving up 4 free bases. The Raiders pretty much hit through the line up again last night, with Murray hitting 2 doubles and Layne getting the spark plug triple. Lots of help from the D toight, poppin DP's like pez.

Could this be the year that one school has both the fastpitch and baseball team win the region title and go to state?

From early indications, it's looking that way.

Two words. Killer Inning. That is what the Wildcats can't seem to avoid as they dropped their second game in a row to the Ryle Raiders Tuesday Night by a 13-4 final. Ryle sent 13 batters to the plate during the 4th inning and scored 8 times to take the lead for good. Jeremy Nunn had good command of his pitches for the first 3+ innings, but the "killer inning" caught up to him knocking him out after striking out only 2 and walking 3. Scott Brown went 2-4 with a single and double while scoring in the 4th inning.

Ryle: 100 813 0 - 13

Gallatin Co: 000 220 0 - 4

The Wildcats have today off before traveling to Trimble County for the first round game of the 8th Region All "A" Classic on Thursday evening. The Wildcats fall to 3-4-1 with the loss.
