I think he went 2 of 3 from 3 point and hardly had any points in the post.

That's the downside of him. If Woods can get him playing the post effectively, they could be a good team.

I agree, they have good upside as a team.

They can be a contender next year for region because most of the talent at all the other teams will be gone.

Consider these players gone from some teams:

Lincoln: Miller, Overstreet, Young, Keeton

Southwestern: Dalton, Sears, Edwards, Rodgers

East Jessamine: Sanders, Hager

Boyle: Perrin

West Jessamine: Fain

Pulaski: Perkins, Dixon

McCreary: Bartley, Gregory, Waters, Gibson (none are scoring threats unless Bartley chips in 10 points here and there)

McCreary and Somerset look to be the top teams next year.

Somerset will be returning 4 starters and 2 good players off the bench. Bourne, Price, Wallen and Cole along with Coomer and Megargel off the bench.

Let me get to McCreary ;) :

Watts - leading scorer, second leading rebounder

Phillips - second leading scorer, leading rebounder

Swiger - third leading scorer

Lay - sixth leading scorer

Hale - seventh leading scorer, fourth leading rebounder

then..

Musgrove

Tucker

Schrock

Wright (future all-region point guard)

Duncan

McCreary will be small, but everyone that will start and all but one off of the bench can drill the three with effectivness..

10 deep is not a bad thing...

This year, they can go 10 deep and rarely drop off in the scoring aspect of things. Next year, the scoring won't be nearly as close for the second five as the first five.

Add Zack Roark in that mix too - a scorer

But, after next year, they'll be hurting. Watts will be back, but it will probably be 4 new starters.

I've heard that he has already had "looks" or "mail" from Ole Miss and Marshall. Not big time programs, but then again, he's a freshman.

Sounds like colleges trying to get their foot in the door already. Don't say I blame them?
