Carroll won 47-40 in Dec...any predictions on tonight's rematch?

CC looked pretty tough the other night. I think with the type of defense they have been playing it will hold the points down for the other team.

Although I have not seen Grant Co. play lately, so I could be way off in my estimation.

I have seen both teams play and im my opinion i believe that Grant County is going to give CC a pretty good run for their moeny. The game in december was a good one, but i believe that Grant County has prepared well and should definietly not be counted out of this one just yet!

39 - 35 Carroll.

 

CC was in a shooting slump but still managed to pull the win. Grant played hard but neither team had a strong offensive showing.

 

Carroll Fresh and JV also won.

Both teams played their best with intensity, both teams humped everything they had on the floor.

At 1:30 in the 4th qtr. this was a 2 point game, GC didn't make some critical shots and this cost them the win.

Whitney got 22 i believe, and that's what she would be expected to do, no slump.

We appreciated the good intensity and this helped us to prepare for the important District games. Thank you!!

 

And maybe another shot to play Carroll Cty. again soon.

Could it be said that a shooting slump be the result of a well planned & executed defense?

Don't know, could have been defense but I saw a lot of wide open shots on both ends rattle out of the basket.

 

Grant has some quick guards that did a good job.

 

Carroll had the same problem in the Fresh and JV games. They did not seem focused in their shooting. Impressed with Garnett (sp?) She did a good job.

True on the shots missed...Grant Co could have pulled this one off...had opportunities on some of those open shots at the end. Didn't see the Fr game, saw JV...JV game should have gone to Grant...noted they pulled the 2 sophomores late in the 4th & sent them to the lockerroom to prepare for the Varsity game-Gorby & Lockard (Gorby was out last 2 wks with a cast for thumb injury).

 

It was great to see Whitney play...hopefully get to see her play again before she heads off to college! Thought #20 for Carroll was quite disruptive on defense...especially on the ball defense. Good Luck with Walton tonite...Grant has them next wk for districts.

Our JV was pumped since it is 2 - 8th graders and a 7th grader that start and play!

They thought the Grant girls were tough defensively! I enjoyed your Fresh coach he was very colorful!
