With the Boozer pick at #3 that is the 20th Duke player chosen in the top 5 is now the record in the modern draft era.

Mikel Brown Jr. is the first Louisville taken in the top 10 since 1996.

So far 9 of the first 10 picks were freshman and the other pick was a sophomore.

Kentucky gets a first player taken in the 1st round Jayden Quaintance. He only played in I think 3 or 4 games for the Cats.

Karim Lopez from Mexico is the first player from Mexico to ever be drafted in the first round of the NBA draft.

Some take aways from round 1:

* Michigan had 3 players taken in the lottery.

* Houston had 2 players taken in the first round.

* Only 2 foreign players were drafted in the first round.

* Only 1 player that was invited to the green room went undrafted and that was Isaiah Evans from Duke.

* Has to be a record of players drafted in the first round that were Jr.'s in their name. There was a total of 6 out of 30 that is 20%. lol

Kentucky gets its 2nd player chosen in the NBA draft as Otega Oweh is picked as the 41st pick by the Miami Heat but will be part of a trade to the OKC Thunder.

Some take aways from Round 2 and the draft in general:

17 out of 30 picks in round 2 will be moving to a different team, and 26 out of 60 total picks.

I personally think the good teams got better in that both OKC and San Antonio I feel had very good drafts.

I also like the Kings drafting Acuff from Arkansas.
