From Centurion eNews:

Christian Academy of Louisville is excited to announce the hiring of Jade Jones as its new head varsity girls basketball coach.

Jones joins the Centurions program following a decorated collegiate playing career as a multi-sport athlete at Wayland Baptist University. She brings coaching and teaching experience across the middle and high school levels in Texas to CAL.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jade Jones to Christian Academy,” CAL athletic director Brad Morgan said. “She is a coach of tremendous caliber whose passion for student-athletes, commitment to excellence, and strong faith make her an outstanding fit for our community. We view Jade as an excellent choice to take our girls basketball program to the next level, and we are excited for the future under her leadership.”

The opportunity to lead the program is one that aligns perfectly with Jones’ professional and personal missions. “It’s about building something that not only continues the basketball legacy for generations to come, but also creates a momentum of faith throughout our school and community,” she said. “This is bigger than simply being the next basketball coach for me. It’s about building a Christ-centered culture that impacts lives beyond the court.”

Jones takes over the team following a 15-11 season that included a 7th Region quarterfinal appearance with a roster that featured no seniors.

“My challenge for myself and my players is this: Let’s do more. Let’s raise the standard,” Jones said. “With help from the student-athletes, families, our school staff, and the community, I believe we can do it together. And I can’t wait to get started.”

Jones officially assumes the role immediately as preparations begin for the 2026-27 season.
