Paul Laurence Dunbar 58 Franklin County 56 (Region 11 Semifinal)

Dunbar led 26-13 early in the second quarter but Franklin County rallied and led 48-43 with 6:06 left in the game then one of their key players Makiyia Wheeler fouled out. Dunbar then rallied and went on to defeat the Lady Flyers 58-56.  Kyah Curtsinger led the victors with 18 points including five of eight free throws, and nine rebounds.  Kaleigh Potts added 15 points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Layla Flynn recorded 12 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, and four steals.  Eriyaune Daniels chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.  Alese Goree pulled down eight rebounds.

La'Kyiah Taylor led Franklin County with 22 points including two three point baskets, six of seven free throws, five rebounds, and four assists.  Makiyia Wheeler added 12 points, 14 rebounds, and two assists.  Haylee Hazelett recorded 11 points including seven of eight free throws and eight rebounds.  Lynnin Comley added 10 points and eight rebounds.

Dunbar scored 21 points off 24 Franklin County turnovers, stepped up their defense late and hit enough free throws down the stretch to ensure the victory.
