The Lady Owls ended a three game losing streak by defeating their arch rival Lee County in front of the home crowd tonight in Booneville. In what was both teams first game in over 2 weeks the lady owls led by 5 points at the end of the first. With the help of the full court press Owsley was able to outscore the lady Kats 25 to 14. To take a 37 to 20 lead at the half.

Owsley led by as many as 28 but Lee count was able to cut the lead to 12 points in the 4th quarter before Owsley was able to pull away for their 14 win of the season.

Dbl Dbl's by the leaders of the team, and a nice 17 pts by the scorer Mika Turner, but 20 pts and 19 boards by kendra combs is player of the week kind of numbers. Maybe their coach should look into that.
