Who do you think will win District 42?

Frederick Douglass and Henry Clay should most certainly be favored to meet in the finals. In that matchup, I think Douglass is the favorite to win the district. Douglass is one of the hottest teams in the state right now with a 13 game win streak going into the district tournament. Also, during that win streak Douglass has out scored their opponents 53-2. Henry Clay should not be counted out but they will definitely have their hands full.

Sayre and Scott County will play tonight in the first game of the 42nd district playoffs at 8pm at Henry Clay. Sayre has the better record at 9-6-2 with Scott County at 3-11-3. Scott County has played the tougher schedule but Sayre won a mid September regular season match up at Sayre with a score of 2-1.  I'm going to make a tough call and say that Sayre wins this one by score of 3-1 or 4-2.

Update at the half it's Sayre 2 and Scott County 1. Game is running late because of boys game between Douglass and Sayre went into double OT.

Sayre wins by a score of 2-1 and will play Douglass tomorrow night at 8pm. My only question is will the mercy rule apply to tomorrow nights game. This was a difficult game to watch.
