? ’Meteoric Cardinals Look To Continue Building Momentum As Season Defining District Slate Draws Near’

John Hines has quickly instilled a winning culture in London. Year one (2024) marked the program's first season over .500 since 2007, which has given way to SL's unblemished record through five weeks.

In true Hines fashion, the Cards are slingin’ the pigskin all over the field, courtesy of the right arm of Mason Griffin, one of the state's most prolific passers.

The defense hasn't been too shabby, either, allowing 11 points per game.

Harlan County got the season off to a great start before being bullied on Log Mountain. The ground heavy Black Bears will attempt to be the aggressor this time and maul the Cards in a SEKY battle.

South Laurel 41-12.

I'd like to see SL pour it on this week and next to continue building momentum for Oct. 10th at Pulaski County.

The Black Bears have an opportunity to play spoiler by taking the air out of the ball. They couldn't hang with Bell County in a physicality on physicality match-up. We'll see how they fare against the Cards and their more air oriented approach.
