9th Region Week 7 Rankings and Preview

It's getting down to the nitty gritty now boys.  Got some really good games this week but let's look at the rankings for week 7 first.

1. Covington Catholic (5-0-2) - The Colonels won't play another 9th Region opponent until next week.
2. Dixie Heights (8-1-0) - The Red Colonels should cruise the rest of the season.  I see them winning out and going 4-0 over the next two weeks.
3. St. Henry (7-1-0) - They keep winning.  Only losing to Dixie in the 9th Region.  Big game this week and two big games next week.
4. Conner (6-2-0) - The Cougars get a big district win but come away with a big defensive loss losing one of the CB's in the process.  Big Week 7
5. Ryle (4-2-1) - The Raiders will be looking forward to Thursday.
6. Cooper (3-4-0) - Yep, they beat Ryle but still have a losing record.
7. Highlands (2-5-1) - I keep saying they are young.
8. Newport Central Catholic (3-6-0) - Surprising win over Beechwood.
9. Beechwood (3-5-1) - Since beating Highlands they have just fallen off.
10. Villa Madonna (2-4-0) - When are they getting a turf field?  
11. Holy Cross (1-5-0) - Only have them here because they have one win early in the season.
12. Boone County (0-6-1) - Still looking for their first win.
13. Holmes (0-3-0) - Go Bulldogs!

Games to watch

Tuesday

• Conner @ St. Henry - Battle of the defenses.  Conner has improved but will be missing a major piece of their defense.
• Highlands @ Cooper - I think the Jaguars win this one.
• Holy Cross @ Boone County - Do the Rebels get their 1st win of the season?
• Covington Latin @ Holmes                                                                

Thursday

• Cooper @ Boone County - The Jaguars win this one.
• Ryle @ Conner - Big game, probably St. Elizabeth game of the month.33rd District battle for the #1 seed.
• Villa Madonna @ Highlands - It would make me smile if Villa somehow got the win.
