9th Region Week 6 Rankings and Preview

I'm not going to lie...I'm a little disappointed we haven't had better chats on some of these post over the past 6 weeks of high school soccer.  Lots of views, but very few replies.

Any way...here is my 9th Region Rankings for Week 6

1. Covington Catholic (4-0-2) - The reigning 9th Region champions let their Colonel neighbor down the road know they are still King of the Mountain.
2. Dixie Heights (6-1-0) - They continue to roll this season.
3. St. Henry (4-1-0) - Solid defense continue to hold teams scoreless.
4. Conner (4-2-0) - The Cougars have made some changes on the back line, since making those changes, they have only allowed one goal in 5 games.
5. Ryle (2-2-1) - I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt here that they just had a bad game verses Cooper.
6. Highlands (2-3-1) - They tied the Colonels last week, impressive.
7. Cooper (2-3-0) - Got the big win verses Ryle for district seeding. 
8. Beechwood (3-3-1) - Since beating Highland early they've really stalled out.
9. Newport Central Catholic (2-6-0) - Give them a year.
10. Boone County (0-4-1) - I think the Rebels are a year away from making some noise.
11. Villa Madonna (2-3-0) - Held their own verses St. Henry last week.
12. Holy Cross (1-2-0) - Really haven't seen HC play.
13. Holmes (0-2-0) - Maybe they upset Ryle this week.

Tuesday

• Beechwood @ Covington Catholic - 35th District game, I see the Colonels winning this one.
• Boone County @ St. Henry - Can Boone generate some offense, or do they park the bus?
• Conner @ Villa Madonna - Hearing that the Cougars may rest players to avoid injuries for their game Thursday vs Cooper.
• Highlands @ Dixie Heights - Can the Bluebirds pull off an upset?
• Holy Cross @ Cooper - Cooper wins this one.
• Ryle @ Holmes - Go Bulldogs!

Thursday

• Boone County @ Ryle - 33rd District seeding game.
• Conner @ Cooper - 33rd District seeding game...this is going to be a battle.
• Highlands @ St. Henry - Interested in this one.

Saturday

• Newport Central Catholic @ Beechwood
