Strong Storms Possible today 7/12/25

Following a few storms in the early- to mid-afternoon period, a cold front is predicted to move through the late afternoon and evening hours, potentially bringing with it a more intense round of storms. The biggest issue with several of these storms is the possibility of strong to severe wind pockets. Between 5 and 11 PM EDT appears to be the ideal window for a strong to severe storm. While there should be enough movement in storms to minimize most worries, a few pockets of heavy rain could also produce some localized minor flooding problems.
