Severe storms might hit the region late this afternoon or early this evening. While the threat may persist further east before storms run out of fuel, we are more certain that severe weather will strike in southern Indiana and west of I-65 in Kentucky.

The major threat is damaging winds, although all severe weather threats are possible. Heavy rainfall over saturated ground will increase the risk for flash flooding. The timing is a bit faster than it had previously been reported.
