Risk of Strong Storms this Afternoon 5/31/25

Cold temperatures above will provide enough buoyancy for widely dispersed storm development even with little low-level moisture. Damaging wind gusts and isolated hail are probable with the most powerful storms. Any storm clustering could lead to additional concentrated regions with a high risk of wind damage, yet the confidence is too low at the moment to incorporate more severe probability. The tornado development is very low but not zero. 

The timing of these models is from 11 am to 6 pm EDT. In the supercell composite model, you can see why the level 1 marginal risk area was issued.
