Bullitt East Chargers π΄ (23-8) π:Β PBK's X account Notes and observations β’ Trinity has come full circle, ending the regular season where it began: at the top of the poll. The Shamrocks can thank North Bullitt for the bump after the Eagles knocked off previous #1 St. Xavier. North Bullitt has been rewarded with its first appearance in the rankings. Better late than never. β’ South Warren and Bowling Green meet in the βSwampβ tonight in the state's premier first round district contest. Both have been fixtures in the Top 25 every week, but either the Spartans or Purples will be one and done. β’ A Boone County single was the only blemish on an otherwise perfect outing by Ryleβs Dylan McIntyre. He went the distance against the Rebels, allowing one hit and zero walks as the Raiders edged Boone, 1-0. β’ Region 11 features six teams that were ranked at some point this season, most in the state. Sayre has been the frontrunner all season, rankings-wise, but it's hard to see the Spartans as a prohibitive favorite in such a stacked region. LexCath is surging and Madison Central, Scott County, and Frederick Douglass all defeated Sayre. β’ Homer happy Adair County clubbed seven more last week, raising their team total to a state high 39. That's nearly double the next closest team, top ranked Trinity. β’ Boyd Countyβs Grant Slater finishes the regular season with a 0.00 ERA. He hasn't allowed a run on his watch, earned or otherwise, in 30 innings. 2
