Enjoy the weather today if you can. Some could see some rain chances by Monday morning. By Monday evening some could see some thunderstorms that could be strong.

On Tuesday, sporadic severe thunderstorms are predicted to move across portions of the Mid-Mississippi Valley and into the Tennessee Valley as the main mid-level trough moves east. Ahead of a cold front, dewpoints will be in the upper 60s to low 70s. Cloud cover and convection from Monday's storms and showers across the Plains and Ozarks may affect instability in Kentucky and the Ohio Valley. Supercells are expected to form wherever moderate to severe instability occurs, most likely south of the TN/KY border, with huge hail being the main hazard. Storms may develop into a squall line by the end of the evening, posing a growing risk of destructive winds. There may be frequent lightning strikes, hail, destructive winds, and torrential rains. Tornadoes may also be a threat. 

The Storm Prediction Center already has most of Kentucky with a 15-29% chance of strong to severe storms. This equals a level 2 slight risk.

In southern Illinois, Indiana, and the surrounding area, thunderstorms are expected to persist Tuesday AM due to broad rising motion and moderate enhanced instability accompanying the warm front. South of this morning activities, where dewpoints in the upper 60s to low 70s are It is predicted that moderate to severe instability will emerge during the day.

Strong shear will exist for supercells as the warm sector is overspread by mid-level flow at 55 to 65 knots. Since low-level flow will probably be deflected, large to very large hail will be the main threat at first. Nonetheless, there should be a sufficient amount of tornado threat throughout the afternoon and evening due to low-level shear. One or more bowing segments may form as storms get more powerful, posing a greater risk of damaging winds in the evening and possibly continuing into the night.
 

While there is a conditional threat for strong to severe storms on Monday. The threats will be locally gusty winds and hail.

There is a higher probability of severe storms Tuesday afternoon/evening. There could be one or two bands of thunderstorms that may move through. Isolated tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds are possible.
