Notes and observations
• Zero movement among the top half of the poll. From Trinity to Owensboro Catholic, numbers 1-12 didn't budge from last week.

• PRP’s 23 game win streak was halted in Mississippi. The Panthers lost two of three during the road trip south.

• Sayre is handling business in CKY, beating LCA, West Jessamine, Lafayette and Henry Clay (×2) a combined 38-8. The Blue Devils’ stay in the Top 25 was short lived after being swept by the Spartans last week.

• One of the week's best games featured #4 St. X traveling to Bowling Green to battle the #18 Purples. It took an inning longer than scheduled, but the Tigers outlasted BG 9-8, with Brodie Benefield going 4 of 5 at the plate with a homer and 3 RBIs.

• Ballard kept its unbeaten record intact by mercy ruling all three teams it faced last week by a combined score of 34-1. The Bruins' starting rotation has a collective ERA of 1.78 so far.

• South Warren suffered its first setback of the season against a sneaky good Christian County squad, but may have taken a bigger L from a personnel standpoint. Star Ethan Reynolds is reportedly out for an extended period of time. It's next man up for the #6 Spartans, who have pivotal district games coming up in the next three weeks against BG and Greenwood.

• Speaking of the Gators, one swing of the bat by Rylan Graves was all Greenwood needed to separate from Warren East. His three runs homer accounted for the 3-0 final over the Raiders.

• LaRue County cruised to a 3-0 mark last week, with Cole Miller raking from start to finish. He hit .600 with 7 RBIs across the Hawks’ three games.

• As noted in the game thread, Rule was no-hit by Moeller’s Luke Pappano. A walk issued to Dylan McIntyre is all that prevented a perfect game.

• This week's newcomers are Eastern and Danville, both off to matching 11-2 starts. The Eagles are getting it done behind Carson Shee (.531 avg.) and James Harris (0 runs allowed in 15 IP). The Admirals’ standouts include Fox Spears (.500 avg/20 RBIs) and Dillon Cruver, who equals Harris with no runs allowed in 15 innings of work.
