Multi-Day BGP Severe Weather Alert Day

This severe weather alert day is from Friday into Saturday. A regional outbreak of severe storms is expected across much of the Mississippi Valley, eastward to the Lower Ohio and Tennessee Valleys late Friday afternoon into Saturday morning. Widespread damaging winds (some greater than 65 kt), several tornadoes (some strong), and large hail will all be possible.

Everyone should start preparing as soon as possible for this system. Especially those in the hatched area. A "hatched area signifies a 10% or greater probability of significant severe weather events, such as tornadoes rated EF2 or greater, hail 2 inches or larger, or wind gusts of 74 mph or higher, within a 25-mile radius of any point in that area.
