It was over shortly after it started... a first round TKO, so to speak. Ashland (21-7), in its current form, looks beyond the reach of regional competition. 

Zander Carter had 22 points tonight. 

Elliott County (18-8) had a very successful bounce-back season after struggling through '23-'24. The region's All "A" champion returns everyone next year will be a handful in '25-'26.

The Tomcats are peaking at the right time and looking scary good. If they can maintain their focus and avoid an upset in the region they may just make some noise in Lexington. The road to Rupp runs through Morehead (literally and figuratively). They need to filter the noise and continue to look for improvements. One thing for sure, the school next door will be doing their homework.
