Raceland stormed to a 12-0 lead before Russell knew what hit them and maintained a double digit lead much of the first half. Russell found its footing and eventually ripped off an 18-0 run to take its first lead of the game, which they would not relinquish. 

Gabby Oborne led the champs with 22. 

The complexion of the game changed when Nim Maynard, who led Raceland with 17, fouled out midway through the 3Q, severely handicapping the Rams from that point forward.
