Pendleton County 56 Nicholas County 44

Final from Falmouth

Nicholas county raced out to a 7-0 lead, but the LadyCats went on a 9-0 run and never looked back. A strong defensive effort against Maggie Simons, who was held to half her state leading 30.2 average primarily by Skylar Thacker made a huge difference. Simons led the Bluejackets with 16, while Lily Ashcraft led Pendleton with 13 points.

Nicholas County closes out district play at 4-2.  Pendleton County has seeding games next week against Harrison and Robertson.   If they win out, it would cause a 3 way tie with Harrison and Nicholas which goes to RPI. Both teams are back in action today with the Ladyjackets traveling to Richmond to face Madison central, while the LadyCats head to Augusta to play in the hardwood Classic against Bellevue.
