*Inch by inch, Marshall County climbs up the rankings.
*A bit more of a shakeup this week with some wider movement.  Warren Central enters the top 10, but may swiftly exit with a loss to out of state Sikeston.
*16-T-25 are "receiving votes" in the actual poll.

*St. X continues to be a consensus #1 across the board.  Great Crossing and Frederick Douglass continue as consensus #2 & #3.  Bryan Station's grip on #4 loosened this week, and while they remain the fourth highest by average, they actually were rated #4 in only one poll (Bluegrass Scoreboard).  No team other than the top 3 were in all four top fives.

*Marshall County would have been in that group, but Kentucky High School Sports Zone continues to lag behind.  They have the Marshals at #12 this week, up from #17 a week ago.

*In addition to the top three, Bryan Station, Hazard, and Covington Catholic were in every top ten.  Marshall County (KYHSZ 12), Warren Central (KYHSZ 14), and Green County (KYHSZ 22) were in three of the four top tens.  In other words, you continue to see KYHSZ far afield of the rest.  For instance, they had Adair County rated 9th - only the media poll also had Adair County rated in their top 25 and it was 19th.  They have Ashland rated 7th, the only ranking higher than 16th.

*The rating of Green County is perhaps even more odd than Marshall County.  That 22nd ranking by KYHSZ is 12 spots lower than any other ranking.

*It's another week with five unicorns (a team that was rated by only a single outlet).  Newport (KYHSZ 18) and Boyd County (KYHSZ 19) are both returning unicorns by the same outlet.  They are joined by Cooper (Media 24), North Bullitt (Media 25) and Clay County (KYHSZ 25).  Trinity ascended from unicorn status last week, as the media poll added them to KYHSZ's ranks.

*18 teams were consensus rated:

St. Xavier
Great Crossing
Frederick Douglass
Bryan Station
Hazard
Marshall County
Covington Catholic
Warren Central
Woodford County
Manual
Green County
Calloway County
George Rogers Clark
Ashland
Lloyd Memorial
Bowling Green
Clinton County
LaRue County

*For a second week in a row, LaRue County is the lowest average rank of the consensus rated, as both KSR and Bluegrass Scoreboard had them rated 25th, and KYHSZ had them 24th.
