ChickenWyngz Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Wow… there may not be a more competitive region in girls’ basketball than the 10th. With 15 teams, only three have losing records. Interestingly, one of the worst records is GRC (5-5), widely regarded as the best in the region. GRC has faced an incredibly tough schedule and is currently sitting one of the state’s top players to ensure she’s fully recovered from injury for the most critical games. The region also features one of the few remaining undefeated teams in the state, Paris, currently sitting at 14-0. This week brings matchups that could reshape the regional standings. Campbell County faces Montgomery County, a game that will solidify one team’s position over the other—or even claim the region’s top spot with a decisive win. Meanwhile, Paris will take on GRC. While Paris remains undefeated, their schedule hasn’t been the strongest. A win—or even a close game—against GRC could vault them higher in the rankings. Rankings: GRC (5-5) Montgomery County (10-4) Campbell County (8-3) Bishop Brossart (8-4) Mason County (10-2) Scott (7-5) Paris (14-0) Nicholas County (9-5) Bracken County (7-3) Pendleton County (5-8) Bourbon County (8-7) Harrison County (8-6) Augusta (5-8) Robertson County (4-4) St. Patrick (2-8) 1
