DevilMayCare Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 69th Ashland Invitational Tournament Highlands Bluebirds (7-1, R9 #4) vs. Fleming County Panthers (7-2, R16 #2) 🗞 Birds and Panthers arrive in Ashland seeking signature wins 🐦 | The balanced Bluebirds are just another bucket or two from having six players average double figures, led by Finn Bouldin's 15 ppg. Highlands has had zero trouble filling it up, carrying a hefty 83 ppg average with a low of 75 through eight games, though the schedule has offered little resistance outside of their most recent contest, a loss to Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. The first seven games all resulted in wins by an average margin of 25. 🐾 | The Panthers are in a similar boat. Their seven wins have come against teams sporting a combined record of 15-48. The only two quality opponents they've faced so far have handled them comfortably. Beating the Birds would be a large feather in Fleming's cap. Versatile guards Seth Hickerson and Bradley Robinson both average 21 ppg, with Lucas Jolly pitching in 11 and a team high 7 boards. Jolly is one of the 16th Region's top point guards. 1
