Happy Holidays, everyone, I hope you can spend some of your time this week in a gym watching some terrific Girls' Basketball as you'll have plenty of options between now and next weekend.  As promised elsewhere, I want to take a moment to highlight something I think is really cool, the Crosstown Catholic Challenge tonight at Thomas More University with St. Henry and NewCath at 6:00 and then Bishop Brossart and Holy Cross at 8:00.  Kudos to Coach Ted Arlinghaus, Holy Cross, and Thomas More for putting this cool event together -- I hope we see similar events put together in the future at TMU.  If you aren't busy tonight, head over to TMU for some great basketball action.

For our Top 10 this week, you won't see a lot of movement as not a single team in the area lost more than once this week.  I wish the Cooper vs Franklin-Simpson game had already occurred, but since the Queen of the Commonwealth has their Championship game on Monday, that will be factored into next week's Top 10.  I'd love to be able to reward Dixie for a great week in Lexington, but the team above them beat them handily on their own floor, so that is tough to do in good conscience.  With a number of Holiday events occurring this week around the state / region (and Florida, good for Grant County!), I expect we'll see some movement next week.

2.  Holy Cross 7-1 (2-0):  vs #8 Brossart at Thomas More, vs Hazard at Berea Holiday Classic, plus additional games.

3.  Cooper 5-1 (3-0):  vs Franklin-Simpson in Championship of QCC at Bullitt East and at Purcell Marian (OH) [kudos for scheduling them!!]

4.  Highlands 7-1 (2-0):  Bullitt Central at Allen County-Scottsville in Lady Invitational of the South, plus additional games.

5.  Simon Kenton 6-2 (3-1):  vs Daviess County at QCC at Bullitt East, at Ross (OH), and at Kettering Alter (OH)

6.  Campbell County 6-3 (3-1):  at Mason County

7.  Dixie 5-4 (3-1):  OFF

8.  Bishop Brossart 6-1 (1-0):  vs #2 Holy Cross at TMU, and vs LexCath at Berea Holiday Classic, plus additional games.
