NKY Week 8 Recap

Featured Replies

The high school regular season has come to an end.  As I sit here and review the Riherds scoreboard, X, and other social media sites to see how teams did this week, it makes me kind of sad that to think that next week at this time there will be less than 128 high school teams playing soccer.  Many Seniors may have already played their last high school game today, perhaps Monday, or Tuesday...but for many high school soccer will have an end.  For the other fortunate seniors, they will get another game or two.

Well...enough of that.  Let's recap what happened with NKY soccer at the end of Week 8.

Beechwood starts off the week with a 3-1 win over Dixie Heights, but then drop their last home game 1-2 to Cooper.  Speaking of Cooper, they go 0-3 in 33rd District games and are the 4 seed.  Covington Catholic play an out of area team then come home and beat Boone County 3-0.  Highlands come away with a draw verses Campbell County and then take a loss verses St. Henry.  St. Henry earlier in the week made the trip to Hebron to take on Conner and come away with a 0-2 loss in a rain filled game.  Conner finish their season with an 8-0 win over Grant County.  Ryle go to Alexandria and get a 2-1 win over Bishop Brossart.  Simon Kenton gets a 3-2 win over Campbell County and then draw Bishop Brossart 1-1.

Here is @KYAG final rankings for NKY soccer.
