TurboStats GameCast for Football: Middlesboro Yellow Jackets_vs_Holy Cross Indians

The Middlesboro Yellow Jackets get their first win of the year beating the Covington Holy Cross Indians at home 14-12.  There were not a lot of eye popping stats in this defensive struggle.  After a scoreless first quarter, HC scored on Braylon Thornberry 3 yard run in the second quarter.  PAT was missed.  In the third quarter, Middlesboro scored on a 7 yard run by Vincent Smith.  PAT was fumbled.  Game was 6-6 headed to the fourth quarter.  On the first play of the fourth quarter, Indians QB Thomas Maddox fumbled and Yellow Jackets Kordell Partin ran it back 21 yards for a TD for the big play of the game.  Smith converted a 2 point PAT run.  The Indians did have another TD march later in the 4th quarter with RB Trevin Figgs running it in from 12 yards.  Unfortunately for the Indians, the 2 point try failed.  That was the margin of victory for Middlesboro.

Middlesboro (1-3) is on the road to play Lynn Camp next Friday night.  Covington Holy Cross (1-3) is at home to play Cincinnati College Prep Academy next Friday night.
