Conner 4 Holy Cross (Covington) 0

The Cougars celebrated the careers of their 6 seniors tonight and send them off with a win verses Holy Cross.  

Conner started the scoring with a beautiful cross from senior Brayden Thornton to Benji Araujo who was able to beat the Indian defender and find the back of the net.  A little later Grady Noble would make a pass from 15 yards away to a streaking Mason Ginn who would get the ball past the keeper for a 2-0 lead.  A few minutes before half senior Micah Bitter would lay the ball off to an open Brayden Cranfield who would bury the ball in the side netting for the 3-0 lead going into halftime.  Conner rotated a number of players and had a great chance to score early in the second half off a direct free kick from Ginn to the box that finds the foot of Kellen Faulkner but somehow does not go in.  Conner would get one more goal when Owen Mayhew would chip the ball over an Indian defender and find Grady Noble for the goal.  Trey Wagner gets the shutout on Senior night and the Cougars took care of business and now look for an epic battle verse Cooper on Thursday at Conner.
