Conner 2 Campbell County 1

The Cougars take care of business today and get the home win.  Conner opened up the scoring off a pass from Mason Ginn to Grady Noble who gets a 1 v 1 with keeper and finds the back of the net.  Conner would not generate many more chances after the opening goal and would take the 1-0 lead to the half.  

The Cougars would hold the lead until about halfway through the second half when the Camels have a nice build up, are able to get the ball past the backline and the Camel attacker is able to get a touch on the ball to find the back of the net.  With less than 10 minutes left in the game Ginn is able to break behind the backline, receive the throw in, and attacks towards the end line.  A couple of nice moves with the ball, Ginn lofts the ball towards the back post, and it finds the head of Parker Coleman to put the Cougars up 2-1.  This was Coleman's first varsity goal and came at a great time.  Conner would go into defense mode and get the win.
