The fledgling St. Henry JV team improves to 2-0 with a 14-8 win over the homestanding Brossart Mustangs Saturday morning in Alexandria

The Cru took advantage of Brossart early game mistakes, scoring a pair of touchdowns and PATs in the first five minutes of the contest, a 34 yard scamper by Ryne Ravenscraft, and a 2 yard plunge by Gavin Armbruster.  Kicker/Punter Andrew Stewart converted both PAT opportunities.  St Henry squandered two major scoring opportunities late in the second quarter but flags and bad snaps proved their undoing in those situations.  

The Crusader defense was sterling allowing Brossart only three first downs, outside of a takeaway by Ethan Tiemeier late in the game, which set up our lone score, a 4 yard touchdown by Freshman Bently Mckinziek who also tacked on the 2-point conversion.

Brossart was coming off of a 34-10 win over Walton-Verona.
