Everyone should prepare for excessive heat this week.  It will get worse by the week's end. Heat advisories and Excessive heat watches are already being posted for portions of central Indiana. By Friday a good portion of Kentucky will be in the red level. Especially west of I-65.

...Hot Temperatures Expected To Continue This Week...

A strong area of high pressure will continue to hold over the
region this week, bringing a prolonged stretch of hot weather.
High temperatures on Tuesday through Thursday should range mostly
in the mid and upper 90s, with a few spots possibly flirting with
100 degrees. These temperatures combined with modest humidity
levels will be enough to push peak heat index values into the
upper 90s and low 100s each afternoon and early evening. Be sure
to use caution if planning to be outdoors for long stretches.
Drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks, and wear light
colored and loose fitting clothing.
